COMPANY   HISTORY

The Cush family have been associated with the clothing trade in Australia since 1946, when Ken and John started Sewing Machines You Need in Haymarket, Sydney, Australia after World War II.
In 1949 they purchased Master Sewing Machines at
15 Enmore Rd Newtown, Sydney. Through some hard work and good luck they purchased Sewing Machine Exchange in Campbell St. Sydney in 1951 and they enjoyed healthy growth in their business along with the growth of a new nation.
This company was the largest second hand sewing machine dealer in
Australia. They were the first agents for Consew sewing machines in this country, and they also built associations with Yamato, Seiko and Lightning Cutting Machines. The Cush family were also related and associated with Capron Carter Australia, which was run by Ken and John's uncle Keith. Capron Carter were agents for Union Special, Eastman, Juki, Kansai, Takaoka, CRA Cutting Room Equipment, Hashima, Mitsubishi products, Manthree, Reliant and Lewis products.

This is where I come into the picture. My name is Gary Cush and I am second generation in the sewing machine industry. I have been in this business for 34 years, since I started as an apprentice at Capron Carter and was fortunate enough to progress to the position of Sales Manager. In this role I travelled extensively and met many suppliers worldwide.
I have now started my own company and can offer to my customers a huge range of products that I have in stock, and also products available for my purchase that I can supply upon request due to the restructuring of our industry here in
Australia.
